Homemade Taco Bowls
I love a good taco salad and it is fun and easy to make your own baked taco bowls!
Bring flour tortillas to room temperature. Turn oven to 425 degrees. While oven is heating, place canning jars upside down on a cookie sheet. You will want to space them so that the tortillas do not touch.
Spray the jars with cooking spray or you could also rub coconut oil on them. This is so that the tortilla shells to not stick to them.
When the tortillas are at room temperature, lay them over the upside down jars and gently mold them to the jar.
To help them brown a bit, spray the outside of the tortilla shell with cooking spray.
Then carefully place the whole tray into the oven for about 10 minutes. Watch carefully and modify the time based on the amount of browning you’d like to see.
Things to consider: I had smaller tortilla shells so I used my pint sized canning jars. But if you had a larger tortilla you could use a quart jar or even small oven-safe bowls to form the tortillas too! This was fun, quick and easy, so definitely get your kiddos involved!!
